Tamar Guy-Haim

leads the Zooplankton Ecology Lab at the Israeli Oceanographic and Limnological Research Institute (IOLR) and is an associate professor at Ben-Gurion University. She studies the biology, ecology, and evolution of aquatic invertebrates, focusing on their origins, dynamics, and environmental interactions. Her research integrates morphological, optical, and molecular approaches, including eDNA and AI-based classification. She investigates the phylogeny and ecology of stygofauna in Israel’s cave ecosystems.
