Yinon Shivtiel

is Professor Emeritus of the Zefat Academic College and a senior member of the ICRC team in the Galilee branch. His research over the past 35 years revolves around natural and artificial underground cavities, used for refuge and combat by the Jewish population in antiquity, mainly during the Great Revolt and the Bar Kokhba Revolt. He has published three books and dozens of articles on these topics.
